This is a male masked trogon, "Trogon personatus" (Trogonidae). This individual has been living at Yanayacu Biological Station in the Ecuadorian cloud forest for many years.
Her mandibles may look scary, but these megalopterans are quite docile and can be handled with the proper gentle technique.
These two different moth species in the family Erebidae would not normally associate in this way. A light trap the night before this photo was taken brought them together.
